On a more useful note, right now I can select ogg files from the file manager, where they show up with green "music" icons, and FM does manage do call the media player, and the media player plays the songs.

The songs metadata do show up in the .meta_storage also. But I can't load the files directly from the media player, the files are not listed in the library, and no metadata shows up while playing (just file name)

I recently installed the metalayer-crawler 1.3.19-3, ando that probably broke compatibilitye. But I don't remember what worked or not before that (I was using mostly Canola). Anybody having the same experience?...

All this closed source work and no (commented) ogg play makes Jack a dull boy.

This is fantastic news about the tags support, I can't wait for it. I wish someone from Nokia helped you. You are actually doing them a huge service by adding ogg support.

FYI I recently decided to ditch all python apps, as I find them too bulky and slow; not really suitable for our linux tables. Which leaves me with not much choice for a media player, but to be honest, the built in media player is quite nice. What's missing from it is folder navigation, and ogg comments support. As you are solving the second one, I am very happy, and soon I can ditch all those mp3, and go back to my ogg collection...

Hi Tuomas, thank you very very much for your endless efforts to provide ogg playback for the nokia internet tablet devices. With the packages living in extras, it will be a lot easier for us to depend on it.
