N950 display breaking down

My N950′s display started to grow black stripes some weeks ago:

The lines are getting longer and thicker day by day. And now an N950 of a friend of mine started to do the same thing. I wonder if this is happening to all of them?

N9 is the only viable option for me with its own pros and cons. Hopefully it won’t disappear too quickly from the shops..

Take a look at the current state of the LCD of my N950 http://lockerz.com/s/184388985. Not sure if it is related, but the touch screen has some ‘dead’ zones where it is almost impossible to click.

My touch screen luckily works still fine.

Mine did the same thing.. It grew worse and worse over a couple of weeks. Then, over about three days, it got better again. It was weird. I’m not complaining!

I start to get dead pixels too :( That could be one of the reasons why it didn’t go into mass production.

It’s hard to say yet but my display might actually have now a couple of broken pixels less than a while ago..

There’s a bug about the issue (with no helpful information):

Mine hasn’t got worse anymore and actually the display on my friend’s device has got better. So don’t despair yet :)

I keep checking it hoping it gets better. Do you happen to know what causes it?

No idea. Especially because in some cases it seems to get a bit better.

Just wanted to say “me too”: I found air travel make the dead pixels worse, and then they would “come back” slowly, although after repeated (4 month intervals, so not in rapid succession) trips they’ve mostly stopped regenerating :(

My display hasn’t got any better. It’s in quite bad shape, although I guess it’s not going any worse either anymore.
